Artist, performer, agriculturalist—Sherry Land-Hicks is a person of many talents. A graduate of Midwestern State University, Sherry conceived of the Papas and Mamas band concept while managing a show in Richmond, Virginia. She’s written and recorded a number of original songs, and even has a screenplay she developed with her brother and writer partner, Dr Clint Hicks, who also appears in The Soundtrack to the 60s.
When not on the road, Sherry spends her time on Somerland Farms near Brushy, Texas. There, in the company of horses Zeus and Apollo, donkey Gus, and cats and critters innumerable, she grows organic produce and works on her vision of a sustainable, earth-friendly place in the Texas countryside.
